Embedded inside New York City's ICUs during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gene and the team captured history in real time. The film won Emmys for Best Documentary, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing, and was distributed by Nat Geo, Participant, and Neon for Hulu. His documentary, Thank You For Listening, is about Country and Americana musician Joshua Ray Walker.
